Schedule a 20-minute Tarot Reading with me, or DIY! Here is a mini-tutorial using a 3-card spread to develop your intuition with Tarot.
A Tarot Reading Practice you can do right now
Schedule a Reading with Me
Even when times appear difficult, a Tarot reading can be calming and help you see that there is always a way through. While there is always a place for longer readings, I often find that a focused, 20-minute Tarot reading can be extremely effective for giving direction AND it’s easier to remember what the cards told you ;)
Or DIY Your Own Tarot Reading
Developing your personal intuition makes Tarot readings more accurate, whether you do them yourself or have one done by someone else. This tutorial will help you focus on your own intuitive insight.
3-Card Intuitive Tarot Mini-Tutorial
Take out your Tarot cards, decide on a question, and choose three cards. Place them face down on the table.
The first card is Where you Are Right Now. Turn over the first card, look at the imagery and decide what it means to you. Don’t look at any guidebooks just yet. Consider the imagery as it relates to your question. Then look at the books (if you choose) and combine the information you find there with what you already felt. For example, if your question is “How can I keep my relationship strong right now?” and you choose the Braid (or the Chariot in other decks) it could mean you are trying to hold a bunch of things together right now, and the balancing act is real.
The next card is How to Approach. Turn over the next card. This is where you see how you can approach the situation for the outcome in the next card. In our example above, if you choose the 6 of Stones (Pentacles in other decks) you might look at the figures exchanging stones in the bowl and realize that it is very important to give and take right now.
The Outcome. Decide what your timeframe is, a week? A month? Then turn over the last card. Say you choose the Four of Wands—look at the celebrating couple, which indicates domestic joy and good collaboration. Your efforts with remembering the give-and-take in your relationship will pay off! If the outcome card looks more “negative”, say it’s the Five of Wands, where the wands are crossed and things look tense, the outcome may be that the need for clear communication is very important so you know what to give-and-take.
By all means, look at the guidebooks afterwards, you may gain additional insight. But know that your own intuition is so valuable it’s good to discover it first.
