Card: The STAR
Hope and Regenerative Life
A woman pours water from two golden vessels, one into a pool, one onto the ground. A large star shines above her.
The secretive Eleusinian mysteries of ancient Greece celebrated Demeter and Persephone, mother and daughter uniting to end winter’s hibernation and return fertility to the earth. One of the Eleusinian rituals may have included symbolically pouring water onto the earth and into a pool.
The Star evokes the constant thread of divine intelligence running through generations, and the hope generated by them working together for the continuation of life.
Activity: Co-Creation
Make holiday gifts with a friend or family member
The Star evokes a sense of hope through co-creation. Create gifts this year with a family member or friend.
Step 1: Choose a family member or friend and reach out to them. It could be your mother or daughter, your grandfather or son, or a friend with whom you’ve been meaning to connect.
Step 2: Set a date once a week to work on the project, or whatever time frame wotks for both of you.
Step 3: Choose what you want to create and for whom. You could decorate a holiday tree and deliver it to someone who needs one. You could bake treats and deliver those to friends and family. You could crochet, knit or paint. You could compose music to sing, play, or record as a gift.
Step 4: Meet and make!
Step 5: Give your gifts.
The Message
The message of the Star is hope through regenerative life. Manifesting and giving your energy in the form of co-creating something to give to others is a powerful act.
